The LIARS 2009 Smoky Mountains Ride
A few of the LIARS try their hand at leading
a large group of mostly couples to the Smoky Mountains.
Led and extensively planned by our very own
LIARS "The Colonel" the trip was a blast. Based camped out of Townsend TN
the arrangements were exquisite. We
hope you enjoy the pictures below.

LIARS 2009
Smoky Mountains: Day 1
Departure day is always so exciting and this one did not disappoint.
Standing under a covered bank drive thru waiting for all to arrive in a
downpour... It soon dried up and our trek down the long state of IL was
underway.

Smoky Mountains: Day 2
Leaving Effingham IL is probably the best part of being there.
Really... On the road anticipating a great overnight in Nashville.

Smoky Mountains: Day 3
Day 3 was a bit bittersweet as the group needed to split up to
account for Judy's Dialysis in Nashville. Meanwhile Nuke led the rest to
tour Jack Daniels Distillery and Lookout Mountain. The group reconnected
in Townsend TN at the cabins that evening.

Smoky Mountains: Day 4
On Day 4 the group met for breakfast in Townsend then rode to the
Dealership in Marysville TN. They split up again as some bikes had
mechanical breakdowns and needed repairs. Colonel led a group to Deal's
Gap and the Tail of the Dragon while Nuke's group enjoyed time at Big
Daddy's Biker Bar nearby...

Smoky Mountains: Day 7-9
On Day 7 the group rested (no kidding...) to give everybody a break.
However, Nuke and Quill were up for a challenge so they rode out to the
Cumberland Gap along the Virginia-TN border. Breakfast and sightseeing with
Cheryl then back to base
camp for a cookout. Days 8 and 9 went quickly as we worked our way
home.
